Bethel A.M.E. Church Springtown, New Jersey, 2002
The Bethel A.M.E. Church was established in 1810, most likely at a nearby location in Greenwich, New Jerseyon the site of the Ambury Hill cemetery. In both the current and previous locations the church was a station in the Underground Railroad.

Laura Aldridge Bethel A.M.E. Church Springtown, New Jersey, 2002
Laura Aldridge did not grow up in Springtown, however as a child she attended the Bethel A.M.E. Church every Sunday with her mother, whose family, the Bryants were longtime residents of Springtown. She became involved with the preservation and restoration of the church as outgrowth of working on a family genealogy.
